Ballyraine Park Health Centre provides a wide range of services delivered by friendly and attentive medical professionals. Below are links to some of the services we provide. These clinics provide protected time for a detailed and systematic health review. They focus on early detection, prevention and personalised care planning. By allowing longer appointment times and a systematic approach to screening, we can offer a level of preventative care that is difficult to achieve in routine consultations. The following clinics are currently available to book by calling the surgery telephone number.

Private Chronic Disease Management Clinic

For patients with diabetes or cardiovascular disease it is important to receive regular medical care to reduce risk of long term complications. This service provides a 30 minute in depth appointment with our practice nurse for measurements, cardiovascular screening, blood and urine tests, feet check (diabetes) and lifestyle advice. This will be followed by a 15 minute consultation with your GP after your results are back. Your GP will let you know of the test results and agree a plan with you in order to optimise your diabetic control if appropriate and minimise your cardiac risks. There is a total combined fee of €150.*

Women’s Health Clinic

Perimenopause and menopause are natural events in a woman’s life however the changes that occur can increase their risk of developing long term health issues and cause symptoms which can impact them daily. There are usually multiple health issues that need addressing at this stage of life which cannot be dealt with sufficiently and safely during routine appointments. This service intends to cater for this. It provides a 30 minute appointment with our practice nurse/ GPA for measurements, ECG, blood and urine tests, cardiovascular and bone health assessment. For menopause consultations you will be provided with a questionnaire which needs to be completed before seeing your GP. This will be followed by a 30 minute consultation with your GP after your results are back.  During this consultation the GP will go through your symptoms and concerns and develop an individualised plan. In some instances you may need onward referrals for further investigations or specialist review. There is a total combined fee of €200.*

Men’s Health Clinic

This new clinic offers a dedicated, comprehensive and patient centred approach to preventative healthcare and wellbeing for men of all ages. This service provides a 30 minute in depth appointment with our practice nurse and includes lifestyle assessment, detailed family history, cardiovascular screening including ECG, blood pressure measurement, BMI calculation, blood and urine tests. The nurse will go through a men’s health screening questionnaire to help us get a thorough overview of your current health and help us to identify potential issues. You will then be given a 30 minute consultation with your GP after the results are back. The GP will carefully review results, discuss symptoms and concerns in detail paying particular attention to assessing cardiovascular, prostate and sexual health issues in order to create an individualised plan tailored to your needs with onward specialist referral if appropriate.

This clinics is designed to provide:

5. Smoking and Alcohol Review
6. Erectile Dysfunction and Men’s Sexual Health Support.

There is a total combined fee of €200.*

*Please note in some instances it may be necessary for other investigations to be arranged based on consultation findings which may incur an extra fee.
